All about LASHES!!

False lashes have come a long way; they’ve evolved in so many ways. They are now a statement. There’s all kinds of different looks and gadgets.
There’s paper lashes:

Lashes with stones:

Feather Lashes:

Colored:

Glitter:

All shapes and sizes…. (my personal favorite) 😀

Eye lashes don’t need to be simple anymore. Adding a touch of color or designs can really polish a look. Change and make a natural look more interesting. Even wearing them alone, gives a punch of color and style. I think they’re great and fun, there is so much variety to choose from it’s amazing! So I think people shouldn’t be shy and just experiment, make them your own.

Bridal makeup bag

Ahhhh it’s wedding season!! I love weddings 😀
Brides, be prepared… For the Big Day you will need a few little things to bring along to refresh throughout the day/night. Make yourself a little makeup bag and ask a friend, bridesmaid, maid of honor to keep it for you. Things you should have:

Cotton Swabs, Highlighter Pen or Concealer (which ever you prefer) – to remove smudges from the crying under the eyes
Powder – to remove any shine later in the day/night
Oil Blotting Papers (or just use 1 layer of toilet paper) – if you have very oily skin this is better choice than reapplying layers of powder
Lip Liner, Lipstick, and/or Gloss – to touch up your lips obviously, very important
Eye Drops – in CASE you cry buckets and your eyes get red

Have fun, enjoy every second of your day and don’t let little things upset you because before you know it… Your “big day” will be over.
So to all the future brides getting married: CONGRATS and again, have fun 😀

Yellow pastel skinny jeans
Orange strappy sandals with a cork wedge and gold detail in the heal

Glymm Box – May 2012

ImageI know I said I was gonna film a Youtube video but unfortunately due to sad and unforeseen news, it wasn’t the right time for me to film…. The glymm box this month, for me, was a total disappointment in more ways than one. There are ups and downs to this box but my overall thoughts weren’t great!!
First they did not send that cute pink box that I love but for good reasons, they’re going green but i still think they could’ve done something slightly nicer even with the actual packaging box itself they sent us.
Once I opened the box and saw all those samples, I was like “Cool! there’s a lot of stuff” but then as I was looking at the sizes and everything I was disappointed. Here’s what I got:

Caudalie – SOS Thirst-Quenching serum (teeny/tiny sample)
Caudalie – Moisturizing sorbet for sensitive skin (teeny/tiny sample)
Caudalie – Anti-age serum for eyes and lips (0.3 oz sample)
Coola – Mineral face sunblock SPF 30 (5ml sample)
NuMe – Hydrating conditioner for dry coloured hair (20ml sample)
2 CK one – Shock me for him and her (small sample)
Cargo – Duo eye shadow in light pink and charcoal both with shimmer (full size)
Glymm makeup bag in pink (decent size)

So yes! Its many little items but I dont think the sizes are enough to convince me to buy if ever I want. Especially the hair conditioner, my hair is soo thick and dry that I’m sure it won’t even be enough for my ends haha! I loved the little makeup bag, very useful and it’s PINK 😀 The duo eyeshadow is decent size but i don’t like the shimmer it looks like it would fall everywhere, also the texture of the shadow is a little (just a bit) too chalky for my liking. Anyway, we’ll see next month if Glymm steps it up 🙂 As for the next box, i’ll try to film the unboxing 🙂 xox

Matching makeup with outfits

It’s interesting, I was thinking about this today…  On how people should or shouldn’t match their makeup to their outfits.
I think everyone should but obviously to a certain extend… If you’re wearing a SUPER bright green for example, don’t smear on the exact same bright green eye shadow and walk out. You can do a nice smokey with a hint of green liner on your lower lash line… Using the colors in your outfit in a moderately way can really make you stand out (in a good way, of course 😉 ).
I think I can relate to this video and can totally help lots of people get an idea how to go about.
Wayne in the video briefly explains a good way of matching up the look. He’s a talented makeup artist and learned lots of tips from him.
Enjoy xox

Favorite Products – April

You’d think the weather would get nicer but this gloomy weather lately is draining our energy. No need 🙂 There’s nail therapy 😛 ..  My nails, believe it or not, have been lifting my spirits up. My favorite nail colors from all the ones I tried this month are:
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mint sorbet – Beautiful mint green, so calming and joyful
Maybelline new nail color collection in Pinkalicious – I love pink, but this is like a perfect Barbie Pink
Maybelline in Sweet Tangerine – A nice orange, not tooooo bright but not too pale either, it’s soo… Tangerine-ish haha!!
Lip colors this month… I’ve been obsessing over:
Raffael Cosmetic Love Lust #448 – Dab some on, a cute barbie pink (YES pink!), leaves the lips so moist and it’s sooo pigmented you don’t need to layer coats. Oh! Did I mention it lasts? Yup!!
Mai Couture Social Gloss in Femme Fatale #1002 – Got this in my glossy box last month and wow i love the texture of it and the smell? Oh the smell!! Haha, no but it’s a nice light pink over my lipstick!

That’s it for my favorite products for the month of April. I’m trying to experiment different products I already have. I feel like I neglect some things because I tend to fall into my everyday pattern but I need re-discover other products I already have all over again!!
